Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a food service setting is preferred but not mandatory
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods during shifts
  • Capability to handle cash and operate related equipment
  • Knowledge and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Basic proficiency in English
  • Must maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service is advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Basic math skills for cash handling

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
  • Takes food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • Delivers food promptly and maintains safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Follows up periodically to assist with any additional guest requests or needs
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advises guests on food and drink combinations
  • Accommodates special requests and notes preferences including specialized diets and allergens
  • Communicates directly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special accommodations
  • Exhibits exceptional communication skills and maintains flexibility and patience when interacting with guests and staff
  • Collects tickets and adheres to proper cash-handling procedures
  • Promotes a clean, safe, and neat dining environment
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding personal or medical guest information
  • Addresses complaints promptly and communicates issues to supervisors
  • Ensures dining room setup before and after service periods
  • Operates equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, and beverage machines
  • Collaborates with other department staff during special events and functions
  • Performs other duties as assigned
