Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • TIPS certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • current Food Handlers card required
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • physical ability to move and lift up to 20 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clear and reset tables using a tray service
  • prep for service
  • take used plates, utensils and drinkware to the dishwasher area
  • pay attention to detail
  • responsible for problem solving and special requests
  • provide highest quality of service to customers
  • arrange dining room to cater to the number of guests
  • work as a team in a fast-paced five-star environment
  • set up dining room area according to Orchid Room restaurant standards
  • consistently keep the restaurant organized and clean
  • set up trash cans, soda, plates, utensils, and to-go containers at start of shift
  • maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
  • set up heat lamps or umbrellas per guest request
  • complete closing duties including restocking items and turning off lights
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • speak clearly and professionally
  • ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
  • serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
  • set tables according to service standards
  • welcome and acknowledge guests according to company and FORBES standards
  • run food and bus tables
  • anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships with team
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by servers and supervisors
