Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One plus years of experience as a Barback in high volume upscale hotel or free standing lounge environments
- Ability to stand stoop bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shift
- Certifications: Certified Food Service Manager TIPS or equivalent
- Ability to speak read and write English
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Assure that all bars are kept in proper working conditions
- Provide all supplies needed for bar prior and during all functions and events as per Beverage Supervisor and Captain request
- Restock any and all beverages after all function
- Assist bartenders and beverage servers by stocking all service areas and maintaining adequate supplies throughout the shift
- Clean and stock all glassware
- Assist with the service of beverages
- Transport food trays to and from dining room
- Assist with cleaning all public areas
- Participate in monthly inventory
- Stock and maintain supplies in all service areas
- Inspect and prepare all service ware prior to use
- Assist servers by removing soiled glasses and plates during large parties and heavy volume periods
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitary condition of lounge and service areas
- Assist in completion of post shift clean up and side work duties
- Maintain clean and organized storage space
- Attend all training sessions and meetings
- Monitor guest consumption to prevent over indulgence and ensure safety
- Inventory all beverages and operating supplies, order replacement items as needed
- Perform all closing duties, secure all inventory and supplies
- Record all aspects of guest order accurately
- Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times
- Notify management promptly of problems or unusual matters
- Interact daily with captains to review events
- Maintain current knowledge of popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes
- Prepare mixers and garnishes prior to and during service
- Set up bar service area with necessary glassware and supplies prior to start of service
- Greet guests politely and professionally
- Suggestively up-sell beverages to enhance guest experience
- Break down equipment and return stock to storage areas
- Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards
