Job Requirements
- Must have Washington State Health Card
- Must have Washington State Mast Card
- Available for various hours
- Flexible work schedule
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Able to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move about the restaurant
- Ability to handle food objects such as plates, trays, and glasses
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
- Communication skills for guest and staff interaction
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months food service and/or 1 year bartending experience
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Basic math skills
- Fluent English speaker
- Alcohol awareness certification
- Food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required
- Knowledge of kitchen operations preferred
- Formal training in food production preferred
- Hotel front-of-house F and B experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Demonstrated participation in wellness, nutrition, sports, or fitness activities
Job Duties
- Engages guests to understand their wellness needs and offers options to help guests make healthy food choices
- Assists guests with tablet ordering and takes beverage orders consistent with brand service behaviors
- Prepares and presents food and beverages including bartending according to approved recipes and health standards
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to maximize hotel revenue
- Stores food and beverage products, inventory, and equipment safely and properly
- Replenishes supplies and informs supervisors of low inventory
- Assists in receiving items and taking inventory
- Clears and cleans tables promptly and efficiently
- Maintains cleanliness of guest areas and food and beverage production areas throughout shift
- Processes cashiering transactions accurately and securely
- Completes closing and reconciliation activities
- Responds to guest complaints with appropriate service recovery
- Shares wellness journey with colleagues and guests
- Remains current on wellness, nutrition, and industry information
- Maintains Green Engage initiatives
- Ensures food handling and storage meets health requirements
- Alerts supervisor of health or safety issues
