Job Requirements

  • Must have minimum 2 years serving experience in a high-volume casual or fine dining restaurant
  • Must be TABC and Food Handler certified
  • Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate professionally
  • Must be able to handle difficult situations with professionalism
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a team player willing to assist others

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a server in a high-volume casual or fine dining restaurant, hotel preferred
  • Experience with Micros and Open Table preferred
  • Must be TABC and Food Handler certified
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors
  • Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting professionalism
  • Ability to perform all necessary duties including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Embody the shared values of Hotel Drover
  • Assist culinary staff with front line set up
  • Manage multiple functions and deliver results in a demanding, fast paced environment
  • Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders while acting as an extension of the Hotel Drover brand
  • Greet and welcome guests
  • Provide support and assistance to your team while keeping all areas clean, dry and safe
  • Receive and take guest orders and process in POS system quickly and accurately
  • Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to guests
  • Learn and maintain product knowledge of food, wine, and beverage menus
  • Ensure guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience and relay complaints to management
  • Perform side work
  • Open bottled wine for guests
  • Perform setup and breakdown of various stations
  • Assist with setting and bussing tables, taking to-go orders, seating guests, and answering phones as needed
  • Attend all company and restaurant required trainings and meetings
  • Maintain constant communication with support staff and management
