Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- good verbal communication skills
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- willingness to adhere to company policies and SOP
- must comply with health and safety standards
- ability to memorize service procedures and menu details
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a customer service or food service role advantageous
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to memorize and recall menu details
- familiarity with health, sanitation, and safety standards
- ability to handle guest complaints gracefully
- basic math skills for handling remittance
- teamwork and collaboration skills
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all guests
- greet, seat, talk and serve guests with orders
- take guest remittance as required
- clear dishes and reset tables
- develop and maintain professional working relationships with employees and guests
- execute service guidelines per IHOP SOP
- handle guest complaints professionally and timely
- memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and menu knowledge
- comply with SOP regarding guest checks and server banking procedures
- stock and rotate supplies in service areas and dining room
- comply with all health, sanitation, and safety guidelines
