Job Requirements

minimum age as required by law
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
basic math skills for handling transactions
good communication skills
willingness to learn and follow operational procedures
adherence to health and safety regulations
ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in a customer service or food service role is an asset
ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude
knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles is beneficial
able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
teamwork skills and ability to assist others
enthusiasm for hospitality and guest satisfaction

Job Duties

ensures guest satisfaction and promotes return visits by following the eight steps of service
practices positive public relations through ensuring the restaurant is welcoming and inclusive for all guests
aware of guests' needs and works to make the guests' experience pleasurable
shows enthusiasm and knowledge about new products and special promotions
promotes teamwork by assisting other servers to ensure outstanding guest service
thoroughly understands product specifications and ensures guests' receipts match the number of guests dining in their party
performs opening and closing procedures and side work duties
brings equipment and facility problems to the attention of the manager
familiar with correct table bussing procedures
follows safe work practices to ensure personal safety and the safety of co-workers and guests
performs duty roster and meets cleanliness, service, and quality standards
follows local health department laws
