Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year restaurant experience preferred
  • Valid food handler certification
  • Valid alcohol beverage control certification
  • Must relocate to Salt Lake City, UT 84105 before starting work
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time
  • Ability to work day and evening 8-hour shifts
  • Must be punctual and maintain professional appearance
  • Ability to abide by company policies and state and federal regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare dining room by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Assist patrons by presenting menu, suggesting cocktails and appetizers, explaining chef's specialties, identifying wines, and answering food preparation questions
  • Record and transmit patron orders to bar and kitchen, noting special dietary needs and requests
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Serve orders by delivering meals and accompaniments from bar and kitchen
  • Respond to additional patron needs by observing and inquiring
  • Maintain table settings by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and managing spills
  • Conclude dining experience by acknowledging patron choice of restaurant and inviting return visits
  • Obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or credit cards and signature slips
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
