The Server / Waiter / Waitress role at Fogo de Chão is critical in delivering the dining experience guests expect from a premium Brazilian steakhouse. This role goes beyond taking orders and delivering food; it involves welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism, effectively communicating menu details, and ensuring a seamless dining experience through attentiveness and teamwork. Servers are ambassadors of the brand, introducing guests to the continuous table side serving concept and helping them discover the wide array of meats prepared over an open fire by the churrasqueiros, or grill masters.

This position requires someone who is friendly, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Servers must be ready to assist their colleagues, perform opening and closing duties, and handle guest requests with grace and efficiency. The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods and transport items weighing up to 25 pounds. Additionally, availability to work weekends and holidays is essential due to the restaurant’s busy schedule.

Fogo de Chão offers comprehensive benefits for both full-time and part-time team members. Full-time hourly employees can access medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month following 60 days of employment. The company also provides life insurance and short-term disability coverage where applicable. Additionally, voluntary benefits such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance are available. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to transport objects up to 25 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work at a quick pace
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, make eye contact, and use a friendly verbal greeting
  • Pull each guest's chair and lay the napkin in their lap
  • Present menu and answer any questions regarding the menu items
  • Be prepared to answer questions regarding the preparation methods and continuous table side serving concept
  • Take and serve beverage and dessert orders and communicate to the Churrasqueiros any special requests for meats
  • Place orders with Cashiers for processing and payment
  • Assist other Servers in their areas when appropriate
  • Complete any beginning or closing shift duties
