Job Duties
- Escort guests to their tables when needed
- review MVP program with all guests
- demonstrate strong MVP Program knowledge
- review menus and answer questions about menu items
- upsell to improve dining experience and raise check average
- write guests food orders on order pads and repeat orders back
- input guests order accurately into POS system
- check with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues
- verify guests' identification for alcoholic beverage consumption
- collect payments from guests
- remove dishes and glasses and take them to kitchen for cleaning
- clean and reset tables after dining
- assist host or hostess with answering phones, taking to-go orders, greeting, seating, and thanking guests
- perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, tidying server stations, trash removal, and bathroom checks
- roll silverware and set up food stations and dining areas
- stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, tea, beverages, napkins, and side plates
- maintain salt and pepper shakers and wipe down table tents
- ask guests to leave reviews
- maintain a positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers
