Job Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
- excellent customer service skills with a polite and attentive demeanor
- flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to work in a team serving environment
- may require a food handler’s certification depending on local regulations
- must have knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement
- must have the ability to calculate figures such as discounts and tips
- must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- must be able to learn and utilize Toast Point-of-Sale and Restaurant365 systems
- ability to use common sense to understand and carry out instructions
- ability to creatively solve problems
- must have sufficient physical mobility to respond quickly to emergencies
- follows policies and procedures and takes initiative
- maintains professionalism and cooperates in team settings
- demonstrates emotional intelligence
- must have physical ability to stand, walk, reach, handle objects, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry
- high school diploma or equivalent
- knowledge and passion for tableside service, wine, and craft cocktails are a plus
- meets state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol
- must have a valid form of identification
- basic knowledge of English is highly preferred
- ability to read, understand and follow verbal and written company directives
- demonstrates knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations
- ability to effectively answer questions and speak before groups
Job Duties
- Answer questions about the menu
- sell restaurant’s food and drinks
- communicate orders with the kitchen
- stay guest focused and sustain an excellent guest experience
- possess strong food and beverage knowledge
- keep all working stations clean, organized and properly stocked
- perform daily and weekly cleaning duties
- handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions ensuring charges are accurate and return correct change to guest
- assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
