Job Requirements

  • must be 18 or older
  • ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
  • ability to do simple addition and subtraction
  • ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
  • ability to write identifying information
  • ability to request supplies orally or in writing
  • able to physically perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • able to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • must report to work on time
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer contact

Job Duties

  • provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name
  • answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service
  • checks with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolves any problems
  • collects payments from customers
  • writes, memorizes or enters food orders into the system
  • prepares checks itemizing meal costs and taxes
  • takes orders for food or beverages
  • checks patrons' identification for age requirements
  • serves food or beverages and prepares specialty dishes
  • presents menus and answers questions with recommendations
  • cleans tables or counters after dining
  • prepares hot, cold and mixed drinks and chills bottles of wine
  • stocks service areas with supplies
  • maintains adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
  • complies with company policies and store guidelines
  • reports to work on time
  • knowledgeable of all menu items including bar where applicable
  • accurately reports tip income
