Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality or senior living
- Food Safety Certification required within 90 days
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- ServeSafe certification required
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and time management competence
- Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Job Duties
- Provide support in day-to-day dining room operations maintaining a high quality and safe environment for residents and team members
- Provide dining service training to new care managers
- Maintain knowledge of Daily and Always Available Menu items and provide general descriptions to residents
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond to questions
- Take meal and beverage orders and serve requested items according to guidelines
- Respond to residents' dining needs maintaining Sunrise hospitality standards
- Attend pre-meal briefing to gain knowledge of meal and meal support activities
- Follow all food handling policies and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Perform dining room checklist inspections and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain side work duties as assigned
- Maintain assigned tables and surrounding area ensuring cleanliness and readiness
- Perform dining room set-up and re-set according to procedures
- Support dining room decorum and etiquette standards
- Complete opening and closing checklist criteria
- Assist in tabletop inventories maintenance
- Review and document pertinent information in Daily Log
- Review Resident Diet Book or confidential chart
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Practice safe food handling to prevent food borne illness
- Complete cleaning assignments regularly
- Maintain all work areas healthy and safe
- Assist in dining room organization and supplies placement
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements
- Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
- Participate actively as a team member working toward team goals
- Demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- Commit to serving residents through Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs and processes
- Attend regular meetings and maintain compliance in required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
