Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years serving experience desired
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Adherence to food and beverage handling regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years serving experience desired
  • Excellent verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal and time management skills
  • Guest relation skills
  • Multilingual preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet the guest with a smile and friendly hello
  • Recommend 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, dinner specials and 2 desserts
  • Properly record all transactions
  • Maintain a clean and proper uniform with name badge daily
  • Record order properly, reciting selection and input orders into Aloha for accountability
  • Replenish beverages
  • Proper table maintenance, sugar caddies, ketchups, table tents all current cleaned and stocked
  • Adhere to all state, federal, and corporate food and beverage handling regulations pertaining to serving food and alcoholic beverages
  • Wait staff must not smoke or chew gum at their stations
  • Shall not consume alcoholic beverage while on hotel premises, whether on duty or not
  • Will not serve intoxicated guest
  • Notify the Manager on Duty immediately
  • Will not serve persons who are under the legal drinking age
  • If doubtful of age, proof of I.D. will be politely asked for
  • If still doubtful notify the Manager on Duty
  • Report unusual occurrences to Director or Manager on Duty
  • Advise Management of any unsatisfactory food or beverage items so they can be replaced properly
  • Establish proper service procedures and follow them at all times
  • Cleanliness, restocking, running food, bussing tables of restaurant is all part of responsibilities
  • Follow Dolphin Hotels and Bilmar Policies at all times
