Job Requirements
- Valid form of identification
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and tips
- ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- ability to learn and utilize Toast Point-of-Sale (POS) and Restaurant365 systems
- flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must have sufficient physical mobility to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies
- must meet state minimum age requirements to serve alcohol
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 2 years of experience in the restaurant industry
- knowledge and passion for tableside service, wine, and craft cocktails are a plus
- meets state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol
- basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
- excellent customer service skills with a polite and attentive demeanor
- ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- ability to work in a team serving environment
- may require a food handler's certification depending on local regulations
- basic knowledge of English
- ability to read, understand and follow verbal and written company directives and initiatives
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations
- ability to effectively answer questions and speak before groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public at restaurant locations
Job Duties
- Answer questions about the menu, sell restaurant's food and drinks, and communicate orders with the kitchen
- stay guest focused and sustain an excellent guest experience
- possess strong food and beverage knowledge
- keep all working stations clean, organized and properly stocked
- perform daily and weekly cleaning duties
- handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guest
- assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
