Job Qualifications

  • Friendly and engaging demeanor
  • Prior server experience preferred
  • ServeSafe Food Certification a plus
  • Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required
  • Bi-lingual experience a plus
  • High school degree or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery
  • Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
  • Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food and drinks
  • Completes assigned opening and closing side work
  • Presents guest checks to dining room patrons and processes payments accurately
  • Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale system in a timely and precise manner
  • Serves alcohol according to state and federal laws, company and brand policies
  • Participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using team delivery
  • Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
  • Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
  • Writes and repeats guest orders to ensure accuracy
  • Accommodates special needs of guests such as booster chairs or high chairs
  • Occasionally serves as Host/Hostess or Carside To-Go Server when scheduled
  • Performs general utility functions as requested by management.
