Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year experience in fine dining hospitality or senior living
  • Food Safety Certification within 90 days of employment
  • Maintain CPR, First Aid, and ServeSafe certifications
  • Ability to follow safety and food handling regulations
  • Ability to work Tuesday to Saturday 11 AM to 7 PM
  • Commitment to provide excellent resident service
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to participate in all required training and meetings
  • Pass drug test and health evaluation as condition of employment
  • Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination as mandated by law

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
  • Must be Food Safety Certified within 90 days of taking the position
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • ServeSafe certification required
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Possess written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe physical and social environment for residents and fellow team members
  • Provide dining service training to new care managers
  • Maintain knowledge of Daily and Always Available Menu items and provide general descriptions to residents
  • Assist residents with menu selections and respond to questions about menu items
  • Take meal and beverage orders and serve requested items according to guidelines
  • Respond to dining needs of residents while maintaining hospitality and service standards
  • Attend pre-meal briefing to gain knowledge of meals and support activities
  • Follow all food handling policies at local, state, provincial, and federal levels
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health
  • Perform dining room checklist inspections and make adjustments to maintain quality
  • Maintain side work duties and assigned tables in a clean and ready state
  • Perform dining room set-up and re-set of tables per procedures
  • Support dining room decorum and etiquette standards
  • Complete opening and closing checklists
  • Assist in tabletop inventories maintenance
  • Review Daily Log to document and learn pertinent information
  • Review Resident Diet Book-TSD or confidential charts
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information
  • Practice safe food handling to prevent food borne illness
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assignments
  • Maintain healthy and safe work areas
  • Assist in dining room organization and supply placement
  • Partner with community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets, and Lockout Tagout
  • Participate actively as a team member and commit to team goals
  • Demonstrate the Team Member Credo in daily interactions
  • Commit to serving residents and guests per Principles of Service
  • Contribute to engagement programs
  • Attend regular meetings
  • Maintain compliance with required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
