Job Requirements

  • one to three months related experience or training
  • ability to perform visual acuity tasks
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • ability to follow scheduled work hours
  • capability to work as needed (PRN availability)
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as cleaning, lifting, and standing
  • compliance with departmental safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Clean and store dishes according to departmental standards
  • complete cleaning efficiently and timely
  • utilize chemicals appropriately
  • maintain work area including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing counters, and taking out garbage
  • serve foods and assemble trays for residents adhering to specific diet alterations
  • follow tray assurance protocol
  • complete assigned daily cleaning schedule including equipment and storage areas
  • demonstrate required competencies using unit-specific checklist
  • demonstrate proper hand washing techniques
  • understand basic measuring utensils and follow production sheets
  • follow safe food handling procedures and HACCP guidelines
  • abide by schedule and select menus for residents
  • follow dish room, pot and pan procedures including chemical use and sanitization
