Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3 years of previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Must speak English fluently and write in basic English
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Close and distance vision
  • Frequent walking with some standing at times
  • Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual and fine motor skills
  • Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly

Job Duties

  • Prepare, clean, and level tables and ensure side stations are stocked
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and inventory status
  • Present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, and inform customers about food preparation details and allergies
  • Maintain proper dining experience including delivering items, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses
  • Perform proper tableside wine service
  • Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, and return change
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks and side-work as directed
  • Fill in for absent staff as needed
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Greet all guests warmly with appropriate greetings
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Understand and communicate distillery products and processes
