Job Requirements

  • At least eighteen years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to work 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Ability to meet physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and walking
  • Pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
  • Abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
  • Compliance with grooming standards on tattoos and piercings
  • Availability for temporary 28-week shipboard employment

Job Qualifications

  • You must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
  • Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, standing and walking for extended periods
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Committed to abstaining from alcohol consumption during employment
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to comply with grooming standards regarding visible tattoos and piercings
  • Successful completion of emergency and safety training

Job Duties

  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience
  • Efficiently set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including setting tables, arranging linen, silverware, china and glassware
  • Cater to all culinary requests in an efficient manner
  • Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present food and beverage menus, suggest particular courses and wines and answer questions about menu items
  • Relay orders to the galley and serve various courses and beverages with care ensuring presentable and properly garnished items
  • Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
