- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, carry, stoop, crouch, and occasionally lift products up to 50 pounds
- Must possess basic math and computer skills
- Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items
- Must maintain good personal hygiene and grooming
- Must be able to accept different payment types and make change
- Must be legally eligible to serve alcohol
- Ability to interact courteously with guests who are of legal age or deny service as appropriate
- Must be able to complete required trainings
Job Qualifications
- Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol
- Basic mathematical, reading, and writing skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to make change
- Good command of the English language both oral and written
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, and customers
- Ability to work varied hours and days including holidays
- Completion of ServSafe Food Handler and Responsible Vendor training
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Ability to multi-task and suggestively sell food and beverage items
Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of Shrimp Basket food and beverage preparation, menu, and limited-time offers
- Take orders for alcoholic (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages and food items
- Prepare orders for alcoholic (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages
- Use a computer to ring orders into a POS system
- Suggestively sell and serve food and drinks to three to five tables as determined by management
- Refill drinks as needed
- Accept different types of payment and make change
- Interact with customers, management, and co-workers in a friendly and fast manner
- Maintain specific side-work such as restocking ice, filling cracker baskets, sleeving silverware, portioning sauces, cutting lemons, sweeping and mopping after closing, setting up and breaking down tables, setting up bar and server stations, and ensuring cleanliness and smooth operation
- Clear and reset tables
- Pass Responsible Vendor Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and refuse service politely to underage or intoxicated guests
- Treat customers to ensure complete satisfaction
- Report to work on time in neat uniform with good personal hygiene
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Report to required meetings
- Perform other duties as directed by management
