Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • at least one year of experience in an assisted living community preferred
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
  • good communication skills
  • physical ability to set and clear tables and serve meals
  • friendly and courteous attitude

Job Duties

  • Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents
  • greets all residents in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
  • sets tables before meals
  • takes orders and serves meals and beverages promptly and courteously
  • provides feedback from residents to the Director of Food Service regarding meals and food preferences
  • busses and resets tables in the dining room following meals
  • restocks dining room tables with condiments
  • cleans the dining room after meals
  • follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
  • performs other duties as assigned
