Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years related experience in restaurant or customer service roles
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods during shifts
  • Capability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and multitask
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including early closing shifts
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures

  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize and good organizational skills
  • Computer skills including POS system experience

  • Strong knowledge of restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Job Duties

  • Take guest orders utilizing menu knowledge and situational selling techniques
  • Serve food and beverages to guests promptly ensuring items are prepared properly and delivered on time following company standards
  • Communicate professionally with guests to determine needs and assist with menu selections
  • Communicate new promotions and product information to guests
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu items by properly describing food
  • Maintain company standards for quality food and serve only food that meets standards
  • Input orders accurately into the POS system
  • Pre-bus tables and assist with approved side work as outlined in the side work binder
  • Practice safe food and beverage handling and maintain cleanliness
  • Handle food prep equipment such as knives, coffee maker, iced tea machine safely
  • Effectively handle guest complaints and involve the manager when appropriate
  • Communicate and interact with guests to put them at ease while they wait for their meal or carryout order
  • Assist in other job categories as assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
