Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • two to three years related server experience and/or training preferred
  • experience working at banquet events helpful but willing to provide training
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • strong attention to detail
  • effective time management
  • teamwork capability
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to remain calm under pressure
  • comfortable with upselling
  • demonstrated knowledge of food handling regulations
  • ability to use POS systems
  • ability to use employee self-service on human resources/payroll database
  • valid driver’s license
  • unexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications
  • must be at least 19 years of age
  • regular attendance
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and seek supervisory assistance when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • experience working at banquet events preferred

  • ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and restaurant staff
  • comfortable with upselling
  • knowledge of food handling regulations
  • proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • ability to use employee self-service HR/payroll databases
  • valid driver's license
  • unexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications
  • must be at least 19 years of age

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and members in a warm and friendly manner
  • answer questions about the menu
  • make recommendations based on customer preferences
  • describe dishes accurately including ingredients and preparation methods
  • stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations
  • answer questions on dietary restrictions or special requests
  • take orders accurately by writing down and entering orders into the POS
  • suggest additional items to enhance dining experience and increase revenue
  • coordinate with kitchen staff to time orders effectively
  • ensure food and beverages are served promptly and appropriately
  • monitor tables and ensure guests have all necessities
  • clear empty dishes as needed
  • prepare tables with napkins, utensils, and condiments
  • handle payment process accurately and timely
  • participate in banquet events when scheduled
  • attend pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training
  • perform side work as assigned
  • conform to all safety standards and utilize appropriate equipment
  • follow personal hygiene guidelines
  • perform other duties as assigned
