Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant service experience
- ability to communicate effectively in predominant guest languages
- must have familiarity with standard dining room procedures
- basic math proficiency
- able to stand for extended periods
- physical capability to lift and carry food trays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of service experience
- ability to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of guests
- basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a MICROS system
- ability to work in a standing position up to 5 hours
- ability to safely lift and easily maneuver trays weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests within 30 seconds
- introduce yourself
- inform guests of specials and menu changes
- make recommendations you genuinely feel your guest will enjoy
- answer questions about food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services
- take food and beverage orders and enter orders into the MICROS system
- deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
- perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required
- anticipate guests' needs such as napkins and drink refills
- build regular relationships with guests
- maintain clean service areas and pre-bus tables
- monitor and observe guests' dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- prepare final bill, present the check, accept payment and process credit card charges
- check back promptly after delivering the check
- assist fellow servers, bus persons, and hostesses with their duties
- thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- fill in as needed to support efficient restaurant operation
