Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living
- Must be Food Safety Certified within 90 days of taking the position
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications
- Maintain ServeSafe certification
- Able to complete required state/provincial trainings
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to participate in required safety and compliance programs
- Capable of handling multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Competent organizational and time management skills
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe physical and social environment for residents and fellow team members
- Provide dining service training to new care managers
- Maintain knowledge of Daily and Always Available Menu items and provide general descriptions to the residents
- Assist residents with menu selections and respond to pertinent questions about menu items
- Take meal and beverage orders and serve requested items according to established guidelines
- Respond to the dining needs of the residents while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards
- Attend pre-meal briefings to gain knowledge of the meal and meal support activities
- Follow all local, state/provincial, and federal policies regarding food handling
- Maintain standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
- Perform dining room checklist inspections for cleanliness and readiness
- Maintain side work duties as assigned
- Maintain assigned tables and surrounding area clean and ready
- Perform dining room set-up and re-set tables according to procedures
- Support dining room decorum and etiquette standards
- Perform and complete opening and closing checklist criteria
- Assist in tabletop inventories maintenance
- Review and notate the Daily Log for pertinent information
- Review Resident Diet Book or confidential chart
- Maintain and protect confidentiality of resident information
- Practice safe food handling to prevent food borne illness
- Complete cleaning assignments daily, weekly, and monthly
- Maintain all work areas in a healthy and safe condition
- Assist in dining room and surrounding areas for proper flow, organization, and supplies placement
- Partner with community team to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
- Practice safety procedures including PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout procedures
- Participate actively as a team member to achieve goals
- Demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- Commit to serving residents through Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs and processes
- Attend regular meetings as directed
- Maintain compliance in required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
