Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- 3 years of previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant
- excellent oral communication skills
- positive interpersonal skills
- must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English
- ability to speak and hear
- close and distance vision
- frequent walking and some standing at times
- ability to walk for long periods, possibly extended distances
- frequently lifts or carries up to 25 lbs
- occasionally lifts or carries up to 50 lbs
- continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 years of previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant
- excellent oral communication skills
- positive interpersonal skills
- fluency in English with basic writing ability
Job Duties
- Prepare, clean, and level tables and ensure side stations are stocked
- stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations
- present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform customers about food preparation details, and communicate specific customer needs or allergies to the cooks
- maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses
- proper tableside wine service
- obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, and return the change
- perform basic cleaning tasks and side-work as needed or directed by the supervisor
- fill in for absent staff as needed
- assist with special events as needed
- greet all guests at the door and at the tables warmly with an appropriate greeting
- adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- understand and can communicate distillery products and processes
