Job Requirements

  • must be able to understand, read, write and speak English above a basic level to effectively communicate with team members and guests
  • must maintain a neat and professional appearance upholding company appearance standards at all times
  • must be able to apply commonsense understanding in carrying out instructions
  • must be able to comply in standardized situations with only occasional or no variation
  • must be available to work flexible shifts including holidays
  • must be able to work without constant supervision
  • must be able to work well as a part of a team
  • must be engaging with all guest throughout meal periods responding to guest and team members as required

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • six months customer service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred but not required
  • must have excellent customer service skills
  • must obtain TIPS certification within 30 days if not certified
  • must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer/client focus

Job Duties

  • greet all guest with eye contact and a warm welcome as they enter the dining area
  • maintain a proactive guest service approach at all times
  • assist with seating guests as needed in the absence of the hostess
  • provide fast, friendly professional and responsive customer service to hotel and restaurant guest and staff
  • serve food and beverage in accordance with standards and in a professional courteous manner
  • maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition
  • adhere to all brand standards regarding food and beverage and service
  • assist with the set up and cleanliness of the restaurant
  • assist with clearing and set-up of tables
  • assist with restocking of supplies as needed
  • communicate effectively with management and other team members
  • use point of sale (POS) system as required
  • perform other duties assigned by supervisor/manager
  • perform special daily projects assigned by supervisor/manager
