Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service preferred but not required as training is provided
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work every other weekend and the specified shift from 11am to 8pm
- Must be courteous, tactful, and able to work well in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
- Ability to interpret and explain the menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers with courtesy, tact and graciousness
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, changing work environment
Job Duties
- Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order
- Take orders and provide timely service
- Answer questions about the menu
- Clear dishes from tables and after meal service
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and their guests
- Assist with dishwashing and distribution of clean dishes if needed
- Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in work areas
