Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must like to smile and smile often
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in English
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must have an interest in working with the elderly
- Must be able to work well under pressure, organize workloads, and meet deadlines
- Must have strong sense of timing and how to apply it to a serving structure
- Must display excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment both individually and as part of a team and maintain a professional demeanor
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances
- Must be able to stand majority of the time, walk short distances, stoop and reach for food
- Must be able to lift food and equipment and withstand temperature changes entering coolers and freezers
- Must be able to work every other weekend and at least one day per week from 4 PM to 8 PM except Sunday shift from 11 AM to 3 PM

Job Duties
- Inform residents of the menu selections for the day and professionally present and serve resident meals with high customer service
- Ensure the dining room is clean and welcoming
- Greet and inform residents and guests of available menu selections
- Take residents and guests food orders and assist them with meal selections if requested
- Present meals to residents and guests in a friendly and pleasant manner
- Address residents by name and learn their food and beverage preferences
- Be alert and attentive to residents' needs and resolve any service problems
- Clear tables when residents have finished dining
- Bus tables and reset them as they become available
