Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality preferably as a server
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to use technology such as tablets, iPads, computers, and POS system
- Beverage knowledge including wine and liquor
- Ability to work on a team with members of the Front of House staff
- Proven experience in describing dishes and beverages to guests
- Ability to handle station and work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner
- A sense of ownership in everything that you do
Job Duties
- Serve guest in an efficient and courteous manner following the proper steps of service
- Set up tables with items needed for service such as flatware, drinkware, condiments, linens
- Maintain knowledge of current menu items, including ingredients, preparation, accompaniments, and sauces
- Bus tables quickly and quietly, ensuring table is thoroughly cleaned
- Upsell menu items to guests, as well as pairing wine with the meal
- Ensure guest tables are properly set up during meal period, making sure appropriate flatware and drinkware is placed
- Participate in daily cleaning of dining room and service stations
- Attend monthly department meetings and daily standups
- Follow cash handling procedures, and be able to explain shortages and overages
- Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned
