Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Intermittent periods of sitting at a station or desk
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, with assistance if more
  • Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats
  • Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects
  • Ability to move quickly turning from left to right or right to left
  • Ability to reach overhead and below knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Flexibility in wrist to scoop, twist, push, pull, lift, and bend

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 2 years fine dining food and beverage server experience
  • Previous POS system experience

Job Duties

  • Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in POS system
  • Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner
  • Confirm orders with chefs and bartenders whenever clarification is requested
  • Offer suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques including daily specials, cocktails, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and after dinner beverages
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work areas and equipment
  • Implement steps of service for guests consistently
  • Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service, respond promptly and courteously to any requests
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make changes
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise
  • Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties
  • Other job tasks assigned
