Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • pass health screenings
  • pass TB clearance
  • pass fingerprinting
  • pass background checks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in food service preferred
  • current ServSafe certification required
  • ability to obtain or hold any local, state, or county food handling or sanitation licenses as required
  • first aid certification required
  • compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor
  • ability to work independently, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure residents’ dining preferences and dietary needs are met
  • circulate in the dining room to assess satisfaction and address concerns promptly
  • maintain cleanliness of dining areas including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment
  • follow safe work practices and support team compliance with Safety Committee standards
  • assist coworkers beyond assigned duties to ensure smooth service and a positive team environment
  • report any elder maltreatment or abuse in accordance with policy
  • perform other duties as assigned
