Job Requirements
- Must be able to relate positively to residents and families, and to work cooperatively with other employees
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, referral sources, and the general public
- Must be capable of maintaining regular and reliable attendance
- Must meet all state health requirements
- Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food service or dining assistance preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Effective communication skills with residents, families, and staff
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Assist residents as they enter the dining room
- Keep records of meals, allergies, and dietary needs for all residents
- Train culinary staff alongside Dining Director and Chefs
- Set tables and buss tables
- Wash and store dishes following facility procedures
- Assist cooks as needed
- Clean dining room and kitchen areas maintaining sanitation standards
