- 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or institutional kitchen setting
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to respond professionally to questions or concerns
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Solid math skills to handle measurements and basic calculations
- Able to make routine decisions that support the day-to-day needs of the department

Job Duties
- Keep all kitchen equipment and prep/serving areas clean and organized
- Plan and follow a cooking schedule to ensure meals are ready on time
- Maintain food quality and safety by regularly checking temperatures and tasting dishes
- Set up food on steam tables and restock as needed during service
- Follow portion control guidelines during meal prep and serving
- Check and properly use leftover perishables from the fridge and freezer to minimize waste
- Jump in and help with other kitchen duties as needed
