Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • two to three years of server experience
  • food handling certificate where applicable
  • certificate in alcoholic awareness where applicable
  • ability to read, write and do basic math
  • strong communication skills

  • problem-solving skills for customer and employee issues

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience as a server, fine dining experience preferred
  • food handling certificate where applicable
  • certificate in alcoholic awareness program where applicable
  • basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • strong organization and time management skills
  • able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees
  • minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages and 21 to pour

Job Duties

  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times
  • anticipate resident's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
  • maintain complete knowledge of restaurant operations, proper table set-up and dress code
  • work closely with the Food and Beverage Director and General Manager to keep residents satisfied with food and beverage programs
  • set tables in accordance to Coterie standards
  • serve residents and guests meals and beverages as requested
  • maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations
  • adhere to quality enhancement standards and standard food safety practices
  • review daily menu with residents
  • maintain complete knowledge of Toast and POS system as well as manual systems
  • take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests
  • remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, linen from the dining room as needed
  • clean and reset tables immediately after resident and guests depart
  • maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards
  • assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures
  • process payments through the POS
  • acquaint new residents with menus, seating, and dining options and hours
  • clean and sanitize carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment used in the dining room
  • complete side duties as assigned
  • review reservations and accommodate requests and exceed expectations for pre-assigned tables
  • create a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation among all staff
  • attend pre-meal stand up meetings
  • perform other duties as needed or assigned
