Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior restaurant experience preferred
  • Must be able to walk/stand for entire shift
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal and state laws
  • Ability to learn cash register software used by bar/restaurant
  • Positive attitude and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Report for duty punctually and in full uniform
  • Greet customers as they are seated at the table
  • Ensure the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
  • Distribute menus and present the daily specials
  • Alert management and kitchen team of any guest allergies
  • Answer questions regarding the menu
  • Take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen
  • Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
  • Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to customers' satisfaction
  • Return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
  • Collect plates and clear the table as customers finish their meals
  • Prepare customers' checks and collect payments
  • Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments
  • Ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
