Job Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Obtain a Maricopa County food handler's card within 30 days of employment
  • If applicable, obtain a Certificate of Completion for memory care services training within 30 days of hire and comply with annual certification requirements
  • Able to carry, lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds
  • May need to operate a fire extinguisher
  • Able to assist in evacuation procedures
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, APS registry check, employment verification, and TB testing
  • Comply with Royal Oaks drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • Preferably has a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferably has experience working in a formal dining environment
  • Has knowledge of Maricopa County food regulations and sanitation requirements
  • Able to effectively communicate in English with all levels of staff, residents, and guests
  • Able to complete training on computer and/or other devices
  • Maintains competency in the position and knowledge of trade and industry advances and new technologies

Job Duties

  • Greet residents and guests in a friendly manner within two minutes of being seated
  • Answer questions about food and drinks including their ingredients, preparation and accompanying items
  • Collect food and drink orders, confirm and repeat order for clarification
  • Attend to residents' needs when delivering food and check to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter and providing extra napkins if necessary
  • Give a warm and pleasant farewell to guests
  • Keep station clean, set up and take down station appropriately
  • Polish glassware and silverware and ensure all service work pre-set and delivered to tables are clean and sanitary
  • Keep the Food Service Management Team promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • Perform duties as a Busser and/or Food Runner as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
