Job Requirements
- must be able to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees
- must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, referral sources, and the general public
- must be capable of maintaining regular and reliable attendance
- must meet all state health requirements
- obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
- must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and community officials
- ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- experience in food service or healthcare settings preferred
- ability to provide good customer service with a positive attitude
- capable of reliable attendance
- willingness to obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
Job Duties
- assist residents as they enter the dining room
- keep records of meals, allergies, and dietary needs for all residents
- ensure the dining experience is exceptional for residents
- train culinary staff and assist the Dining Director and Chefs
- set tables and bus tables
- wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area
- assist cooks and clean food serving areas and equipment
- set up serving carts for meals
- help serve meals to residents
- clean dining room tables, chairs, and floor
- adhere to prescribed safety and sanitation practices
- perform other related duties as assigned
