Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous experience as a server or in a similar customer service role is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to memorize menus and understand menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen sanitation standards
  • Friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capability to carry heavy trays and lift up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Greet guests, present menus, and explain daily specials
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any issues or concerns
  • Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas as needed
