Job Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, coworkers, and management
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well within a team, supporting fellow servers and other staff members
- Basic math skills and experience using a POS system
- Knowledge of food and beverage safety standards
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service role is preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old or comply with local legal age requirements
Job Duties
- Greet all guests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
- Ensure all service standards are followed as outlined in the server training manual
- Use suggestive selling and up-selling techniques to enhance the guest experience
- Explain daily features and present the wine list when seating guests
- Accurately take and review all orders with the guest
- Prepare and deliver beverages in a timely manner, following wine service steps when necessary
- Run food to tables promptly and efficiently
- Perform quality check-backs with guests in a timely manner
- Assist in restocking items such as rollups, pockets, and polished cutlery
- Handle cash and follow proper room post procedures
- Clear and reset tables during the shift
- Properly input all orders into the POS system
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and refilling supplies as needed
- Thank guests as they leave and inquire about their meal experience
- Report any customer complaints to the supervisor on duty immediately
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Senior Management or dictated by business needs
