Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service or restaurant environment is an asset
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Physical stamina to stand and carry trays for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate and understand predominant language(s) of guests
- Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures
- Basic math skills and ability to handle money
- Ability to operate a point-of-sale system
- Physical ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift and maneuver trays up to 20 to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests
- Make guests feel comfortable and let them know you are available to assist
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes
- Make recommendations guests will enjoy
- Answer questions about food, beverages, and restaurant services
- Take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system
- Deliver food and beverages promptly
- Perform side work as required by service station
- Maintain clean service areas
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly
- Prepare final bills and process payments
- Assist fellow servers as needed
- Help bus staff with clearing and resetting tables
- Thank guests and invite them to return
- Fill in as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
