Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 0-2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods
- Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, use hands and communicate verbally
- Ability to use close and peripheral vision and adjust focus
- Dependability and strong work ethic
- Must comply with safety and sanitation procedures
- Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Excellent guest service skills and experience
- Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
- Ability to prioritize and strong organizational skills
- Computer skills including POS system experience
- 0-2 years of related restaurant experience
- Knowledge of common restaurant practices and procedures
- Reliable and able to perform essential job functions
- Exceptional teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Take guest orders utilizing menu knowledge and situational selling techniques
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly ensuring items are prepared properly and provided in a timely manner
- Communicate professionally with guests to determine their needs and assist with menu selections
- Describe food items properly to demonstrate menu knowledge and maintain quality standards
- Input orders accurately into the POS system
- Pre-bus tables and assist with approved side work as outlined
- Practice safe food and beverage handling and maintain cleanliness
- Handle food prep equipment safely
- Effectively handle guest complaints involving management when appropriate
- Communicate and interact with guests to manage crowds and provide a welcoming environment
- Assist in other job categories as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
