Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to stand for entire shift and walk for long periods
  • Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, use hands and communicate verbally
  • Ability to use close and peripheral vision and adjust focus
  • Dependability and strong work ethic
  • Must comply with safety and sanitation procedures
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent guest service skills and experience
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritize and strong organizational skills
  • Computer skills including POS system experience
  • 0-2 years of related restaurant experience
  • Knowledge of common restaurant practices and procedures
  • Reliable and able to perform essential job functions
  • Exceptional teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Take guest orders utilizing menu knowledge and situational selling techniques
  • Serve food and beverages to guests promptly ensuring items are prepared properly and provided in a timely manner
  • Communicate professionally with guests to determine their needs and assist with menu selections
  • Describe food items properly to demonstrate menu knowledge and maintain quality standards
  • Input orders accurately into the POS system
  • Pre-bus tables and assist with approved side work as outlined
  • Practice safe food and beverage handling and maintain cleanliness
  • Handle food prep equipment safely
  • Effectively handle guest complaints involving management when appropriate
  • Communicate and interact with guests to manage crowds and provide a welcoming environment
  • Assist in other job categories as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
