Job Requirements
- 18+ years old
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to wipe down table tops and booth seats in bar area
- Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
- Good sense of balance and ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel
- Ability to frequently lift and bus pans and trays weighing 25 pounds
- Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
- Ability to transport and carry objects like high chairs weighing up to 15 pounds
- Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
- Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times
Job Qualifications
- Friendly and engaging demeanor
- Prior server experience preferred
- ServeSafe Food Certification a plus
- Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
- Bi-lingual experience a plus
- High school degree or GED preferred
- Ability to build relationships
- Ability to be a team player
- Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
- Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times
Job Duties
- Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee’s team delivery
- Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat environment
- Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food and drinks
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work
- Presents guest checks to dining room patrons, makes correct change and/or completes credit transactions
- Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system
- Serves alcohol according to all state and federal laws and company policies
- Participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using team delivery
- Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates needs
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices
- Drives sales with suggestive selling
- Writes and repeats guests’ orders to ensure accuracy
- Accommodates special guests’ needs such as booster chairs and high chairs
- May serve occasionally as Host/Hostess or Carside To-Go Server
- Performs general utility functions as requested by management
