Job Duties
- Escort guests to their tables when needed
- Review MVP program with all guests
- Demonstrate strong MVP program knowledge
- Review menus and answer questions about menu items, upsell to improve dining experience and raise check average
- Write guests food orders on order pads and repeat the order back to the guest
- Input guests order accurately into POS system
- Check with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- Check guests' identification to ensure legal drinking age
- Collect payments from guests
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables and take them to the kitchen for cleaning
- Clean and reset tables after guests finish dining
- Assist host or hostess by answering phones, taking to-go orders, greeting, seating, and thanking guests
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, tidying server stations, taking out trash, and checking bathrooms
- Roll silverware, set up food stations, or prepare dining areas for next shift or large parties
- Stock service areas with supplies like coffee, tea, beverages, napkins, and side plates
- Fill salt and pepper shakers and wipe down table tents
- Ask guests to leave a review
- Maintain a positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers
