Job Qualifications
- must be at least 18 years of age
- able to read and communicate in English
- skilled in operating Micros system, making changes and conducting accurate credit card transactions
- able to listen and communicate effectively with guests and team members
- able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- understanding of menu items and ability to answer guest questions
- ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- ability to follow sanitation and alcohol service procedures
- willingness to participate in sales incentives and contests
- ability to foster positive working relationships with team members
Job Duties
- deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
- keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
- adhere to company’s sanitation procedures
- maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate by operating credit card machines correctly, calculating and returning appropriate change and maintaining adequate cash and coin
- follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
- assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
- greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
- accurately take guests’ food and drink orders
- maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate modifications and charges
- ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated table server’s section and other sections as needed
- work quickly and efficiently adhering to “full hands in, full hands out” philosophy
- assist in party set up and breakdown
- buss and reset tables as needed
- assist other team members as needed or as business dictates
- be responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and complete station side work at the beginning and end of shifts
- participate in all incentives and contests driving sales and promoting the brand
- follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control while maximizing the guest experience
- ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, pre-bussing as necessary and responding to guest needs
- keep station clean and set up and take down station tables appropriately
- maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company team members to foster cooperation, harmonious working climate, and high morale
- communicate effectively with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster’s experience
- demonstrate ability to operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at the end of shifts
- read and communicate in English
- listen to hear guests’ orders and needs and communicate with guests verbally and via Micros system
- dress in proper dress code, looking neat, clean and professional at all times
