Job Description

The role of Dining Room Employee Coordinator at Rib Crib is essential in guaranteeing that guests receive courteous and rapid service during their dining experience. This position involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of dining room employees to maintain the highest standards of customer interaction and service efficiency. Job Requirements

  • Ability to clearly communicate both orally and written as required to serve guests and supervise dining room activities as needed
  • understands basic math concepts as required to total costs and make change
  • proficient use of restaurant equipment including headset, microphone and Aloha or View Touch operating systems
  • minimum six months previous restaurant industry experience based upon management's discretion
  • valid Food Handler's Permit where applicable
  • capable of standing for long periods and performing physical tasks such as walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, kneeling, and stooping
  • able to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds with occasional lifting not to exceed 30 pounds

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat all guests using the standard Rib Crib greeting and twelve steps of service
  • present menu, answer questions, suggestively sell menu items using sizzle words, and respond to food and service inquiries
  • answer phone calls by the third ring, direct calls appropriately, take call-in orders, and address catering questions
  • record guests' orders on check accurately
  • relay orders to kitchen and serve courses promptly
  • prepare and suggest drinks and desserts, and stock service bars as needed
  • observe guests' dining experience and respond to additional requests or determine when meals are complete
  • total bills and accept payments or refer patrons to cashier
  • clear and reset counters or tables at the end of each meal and shift
  • assume any responsibility or perform any task to support teamwork and restaurant operations as needed
  • perform any other duties as assigned
