Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs
- ability to raise a tray weighing up to 25 lbs to shoulder height
- must meet all state county or municipal health regulations related to food handling
- ability to operate point of sale system
- good hearing to respond to employee and guest needs
- must be able to observe and differentiate monetary denominations
- ability to work varied shifts including nights weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position
- must be able to work in a team environment
- meets Denny's uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift
- must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays nights and weekends
- possesses excellent guest service skills
- possesses basic math skills add subtract multiply and divide
- must be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions

Job Duties
- Taking food orders and keeping drinks filled
- making sure guests' meals and their experience is as perfect as possible
- serving guests with a warm friendly smile
- greeting, seating, and servicing guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- suggestively selling menu items
- receiving payment and processing transactions
- assisting other service personnel to provide total guest satisfaction
- responding to and addressing guest concerns in a timely and courteous manner
- operating point of sale systems
- serving all restaurant menu products
