Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum one year serving experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for kitchen equipment and utensils use
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without extended sitting
  • Ability to lift or carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Assist in delivery of culinary activities in all dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care and Club Room
  • Provide professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and timely service following The Sterling Touch® standards
  • Enhance the dining experience for residents, family members and guests
  • Support special events and private functions
  • Work under the general guidance of the Executive Chef and Dining Room Supervisor
  • Follow community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophies
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, residents, and guests
