Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- able to work days, nights and/or weekends as required
- able to work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
- able to read and write handwritten notes
- able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- able to move about facility and stand for long periods
- able to walk or stand 100 percent of shift
- able to reach, bend and stoop frequently
- must be skilled in effectively communicating with guests
- must demonstrate ability to operate Micros system and conduct accurate credit card transactions
- must be able to read and communicate in English
- dressed in proper dress code requirements, looking neat, clean and professional at all times
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- previous experience in customer service or food and beverage industry is a plus
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to operate point-of-sale systems accurately
- knowledge of food and beverage menus
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- teamwork and cooperative attitude
- attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- capable of multitasking and handling stressful situations effectively
- basic math skills for handling cash and transactions
Job Duties
- deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
- keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action or suggest alternative courses of action
- create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
- adhere to company sanitation procedures
- maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate
- follow alcohol awareness procedures to prevent intoxication and handle intoxicated guests appropriately
- assess guest demeanor and alert management as necessary
- greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
- accurately take guests' food and drink orders
- maintain thorough understanding of menu items to answer questions
- enter orders into Micros quickly and correctly
- ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated tables
- work efficiently following "full hands in, full hands out" philosophy
- assist in party setup and breakdown, bussing and resetting tables
- assist other team members as needed
- complete sales on personal Micros keys and perform station side work
- participate in incentives and contests to drive sales
- follow portion guidelines to control costs while maximizing guest experience
- ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after food delivery, maintaining drinks, removing clutter, and pre-bussing as necessary
- keep station clean and properly set up and take down station tables
- maintain favorable working relationships with team members to promote cooperative and harmonious work environment
- communicate effectively with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
- operate Micros system for changes and credit card transactions accurately
- read and communicate in English
- listen to guests' orders and needs and communicate verbally with guests and team members using Micros
- adhere to dress code, maintaining a neat, clean, and professional appearance
- must be at least 18 years of age
